"Hello, Nadi! I'm here today as a representative- both of the Pacific Grouping, and of the new iTaukei Party of Fiji. The iTaukei Party stands against the degradation of traditional values in Fiji that is being undergone by the current administration, wrecking our values and traditions. Fiji is a country rooted in colonialism. Over a third of our population are descendants of the Indian slaves bought over by the British, and the current administration is continuing that colonialist agenda by attacking iTaukei institutions, in the name of so-called racial unity.

What the current Fijian government is doing is anything but. What we need is a different unity. Of course racial unity is good- it's not something Commodore Bainimarama believes in, but it's good- but another thing we need is Pacific unity. True Pacific unity will help all people in this country- iTaukei and Indian.

It will help link our islands together, especially the Laus. What we desperately need is investment in our islands to help their economy grow. Invest in our islands. And the Pacific Grouping will help work towards that. We are the only party which stands for our Pacific, under God, and for the people. Thank you."
