Today it was announced that the Values Grouping in the Pacific Union, of which the Katter's Australia Party is a member of, is rebranding to the Pacific Grouping and the KAP will be demoted to an observer position within the party.

We support this position, and while we will contest the upcoming Pacific Union election under the Pacific Grouping banner, we continue to support the removal of Australia from the Pacific Union. We believe that the inclusion of Australia is unnecessary and will do Pacific nations more harm than good.
