So I was in eighth grade pre algebra and these two students I had to work with for this project, we’re making homophobic slurs toward me. I just sat there and took it because we had a substitute teacher and I didn’t wanna get into much trouble because I was quite notorious for all the wrong reasons.

Finally I felt like I had to step in but all I did was make an offensive comment. This of course made one of the students get mad at me and eventually tried to tell on me. The sub and then told our teacher who is still in the building, and she wanted to speak to all three of us. Unfortunately though I had to talk to her later because I was in a school function and you’re not gonna believe what happened before I spoke to her.

The two kids said that I was making a homophobic slurs against them because they were sitting next to each other at our table and I thought it was the funniest thing ever. This of course never happened and they were just trying to get me suspended. With this side of the story that they told her she called the principal who had me written up and called my father. And they got away with it too because I wasn’t there well that was until I spoke to her.

I told her what actually happened and said that I only made one comment toward them and it was inoffensive. She agreed that the comment that I made was inoffensive and Would call the principal again telling her to drop this off of my record because she told me that the two students that she spoke to were trying to get me in trouble. She was one of the few teachers in this building that I actually didn’t think I was the worst person in the school and knew that she could trust me so it was good to know that she was on my side.

After the school function my mother picked me up from school and I told her everything that happened and my side of the story she wasn’t happy with the things that The students said to me and knew that I wouldn’t do what the other students claimed I did.

My father eventually came home and he was not happy with what the principal told him. however the principal did not update him and tell him that what she heard was not true, because the principal of the school had something against me. He was really mad at me even though I try to tell him that their side of the story was false and they were just trying to get me suspended. But of course he didn’t believe me and accused me of the actual comments that the students made saying that I was calling them F*T and C*****R! I told him that they were calling me those names and that the only comment I made was inoffensive. He didn’t care and just stormed to his bedroom.

My mother followed him and I could hear them fighting about this thing from my bedroom from across he hall. She told him things like “He would never do anything like that and he would never lie to you” and that I deserved an apology.

He apologized the next morning and the school dropped the incident report against me and placed one for the other two boys.

Now I’m in college and none of these kids went with me, so I don’t really care anymore.
