/r/furtalk hopes to be a place for furries to talk about furry things, be it for discussions about anthropomorphic ideas, furry events and groups, furry news or the even fandom itself.

The need for this subreddit comes form the fact that the two biggest non-porn furry subreddits, /r/furry and /r/furry_irl, are currently unsuitable for these kind of conversations, the first due to its overwhelming art presence and topic restrictions, and the second due to its nature as a meme subreddit. /r/furtalk thus hopes to fill in this missing niche on the reddit furry presence.

With that said I would like to leave you with our rules of conduct:

1. Follow the site-wide reddiquette

2. All posts must be related to the furry fandom or the people wherein.

3. This is a place for civil discussion; bigotry, homophobia, transphobia, racism, ableism, bullying, harassment, zoo/pedo apologists or any other form of unreasonable harm, hate or discrimination will not be tolerated.

4. NSFW and mature topics for discussion purposes are allowed but must be tagged as such, direct sharing of porn, however, is not.

5. Due to their overwhelming presence on other furry groups, and to keep the focus of this subreddit, posting of standalone furry art and fursuits without context will currently not be allowed. However, discussions of artists, artist topics or of other more underrepresented forms of furry media such as comics, film, writings, music or worldbuilding are welcome.

6. No spam.
