Edit: Build Me Up not FTP Builder
I am stoked to have finally finished the Zwift FTP Builder today. I wanted to share a quick summary. I started cycling seriously last Summer and was struggling to keep up with my crew. Went all in on Kickr 5, zwift, fan, tv, etc.
I started off ~100k, 175cm.
My first FTP test when starting Zwift came in at 188.
I ended @ 233 FTP, 94 kg.
So 1.9w/kg -> 2.48w/kg. A 30% increase.
On top of that, feeling much better during outdoor rides: more stamina and endurance. Also saw a decent increase in (Garmin) VO2 max. At least I made it into the green :)
Regarding the plan: * I increased the Zwift FTP setting to 210 W about halfway through * Definitely intense weeks 9-11 * I got covid and recovered during the week 8 recovery * Also a few day vacation thrown in. * Mosaic crushed me in week 9, but I tried to force it between covid and vacation. I DNF after 80mins.
Not too much else to add. I want to drop 15kg, so I am going to try to focus on my diet through the summer. I'll probably restart FTP Builder to continue burning calories, but probably a little less intensity and replacing the long rides with outdoor stuff.
