Pls Help. My Zune 30gb is just a black screen

I tried to add a background to my Zune 30gb and the moment I pressed set as background the entire screen froze. I let it sit for a few minutes and the screen glitched out with overlapping text. So I restarted it, held the back button and top of the wheel, and when it turned on it was just a black screen. Now it won't turn on, having the illuminated black screen, without being connected to the charger and restarting it doesn't do anything. Also my Zune software doesn't pick it up so it doesn't seem like I can update it from my pc. Does any one know how to fix this or have any ideas on what I should do?
