Should I mod it?

I have a 30GB Halo 3 Zune and wondering if I should mess with it or just buy another Zune to mod. I had put a case over it to keep it from getting scratched, but very hard to remove. I also have a Zune HD, but I am not aware of any modding for it. New to the community and haven't really looked around here yet.
