I'm a self employed photographer with pretty bad Adult ADHD. I've worked out of my home, mostly alone, for 10 years before the pandemic. I've always had trouble with waking up on time when I don't have something scheduled during day. It's been getting out of control lately and really messing with my productivity. I can't help hitting the snooze button or turning my phone on silent then fading back into my dreams for hours. I told my Mom to give me wakeup phone calls recently but it's too easy for me to hit ignore or sleep through them. I think I need a more drastic measure...
I have lots of AV gear in my house... I was thinking of setting up Zoom on a separate computer or iPad that's hooked up to a pair of speakers and have it so they could give me a wakeup call me and it would automatically answer. Is there any easy way to do this? I'd have to schedule the call / wakeup times beforehand I imagine? Or start a sessions before I go to bed and send them and invite? But that seems slightly wasteful to have a session going for 6-8 hours. I'd probably also have to set it so the computer or iPad never goes to sleep? I've tried many other methods but I think the only thing that will work to get me into a better routine for now will be for someone to intrusively yell at me to wake me up. :)
