EDIT: For my meetings today, they were capped to 40 minutes. Looks like it's just the first one you host!
I had a birthday Zoom with my family on Thursday, which I hosted, and despite having a free account and never giving Zoom any payment info, we went over 40 minutes. As it was approaching 40 mins, I said that we might need to leave in a few minutes, but my dad told me he got a message saying I extended it to unlimited, but I didn't do anything.
Looking at previous posts on the subreddit, there's a bit of conflicting information, but apparently you get unlimited for the first time/times hosting.
- Is it the first time, or first few times, and if it's the first few, is there any way of predicting when it will start caring about the limit?
- Does it count by total number of meetings I hosted, or just the number of meetings I hosted that went over 40 minutes?
I have another meeting in about 9 hours, and want to know if it'll be limited to 40 minutes or not. It's fine either way, just helpful to know if I have a hard end time.
