A couple of months ago, I purchased a half ounce of Kush Mints by Growsciences. In terms of bag appeal, the buds were absolutely gorgeous, glistening in trichomes, and sticky..the smell, and flavor were muted, but it hit pretty well, in terms of overall effect. I know GS has been having trouble with the curing process, and this batch is an obvious example. It has everything going for it. And with a proper cure, it would have been a stellar tope shelf choice..interestingly enough, the taste and smell got a bit better after a couple of weeks in a glass jar, with an integra humidity boost pack. Overall: Appearance: 9.5/10 Smell:7/10 Taste:7/10 Effects:7/10 Overall: 7-7.5/10 (got a bit better after I let cure for a week or two)
A couple of days ago, I purchased a couple of jarred eighths of Kush Mints, by Sonoran Roots, and boy howdy, this is the best indica dominant strain Ive had so far this year, and all Ive had is AL/C, Barrio, and that one half of GS Kush Mints...this cut is definitely too notch. Moist, smelly/terpy (not too pungent before breaking down, but it is nice and earthy/kushy, a textbook perfect cut of Kush Mints (by AZ legal market standards, at least) , imho, and blows Growsciences version out of the water, a third of a gram cone of this to the dome, and I was blasted for a couple of hours, then had some of the best sleep ive had all week. If youre a fan of this strain, dont sleep on this batch.
Im glad I picked this up, it has been over a year since Ive picked up Sonoran Roots. Im up near Cottonwood AZ, so it's slim pickins in terms of selection, and fresh batches of good flower go quick up here.
