Just picked up from Nirvana in Prescott Valley. Two 4g eighths/64otd. Just got home and loaded a couple of bowls in my dynavap. Here is my review:
Appearance: These buds are not as striking as most cookie cuts, its definitely larger, more conical/spear like, rather than rounded medium-small nugs like many dessert strains. Definitely a trait coming from the OG found in it's lineage (Faceoff OG is a grandparent). Large, lime green nugs, that scream old-school chronic in my eyes. Perfect moisture level/stickiness as well.
Smell: After cracking the seal, this strain wasn't as gassy/smelly as I was expecting, more muted than is generally preferred, but it definitely became more pronounced after grinding. Subtle og gassy kush and gsc-pheno sweetness abound.
Taste: Sweet cookie profile on the inhale and exhale, combined with minty, og kush undertones that linger on the palate. Zero harshness on the throat. This is where this strain REALLY shines, imo. Brings me back to the days of the grey area "clubs" that were everywhere back during the first few years of MMJ here in AZ. The old schoolers here know what Im talking about. That shit was well-cured, flavorful and had legs to last for hours.
Effects: Indica Dominant effects. Which i prefer. Not very heady at all, more narcotic and definitely has potential to couchlock if used in high doses. For a new company, Barrio cannabis are showing massive potential right now, I cant wait to see more batches down the line, as Im sure this will get better and better as they dial-in the entire process.
Overall: 9/10
Stay tuned for another review for the other strain I got from Barrio as well. Capulator Junky.
Have a great weekend, and remember to keep calm and chief on, Zonaents fam!! ππΌππΌβπΌ
