Time sensitive question

In the Cyber labyrinth event the reward for first place is choice of S cars… presumably 100 pieces to unlock… as second is 80 and third is 60 etc. However it says choice of vehicle and I have already unlocked the neon bones during the event and see it’s only 50 to upgrade!! Am I only going to get one upgrade as opposed to 100 pieces? That would mean it’s better to finish in second place than first! But the way it reads seems to indicate that. Help please
