Boreas.. how far can it go

So I’ve been playing about just over a month and earned the Boreas from missions and have leveled up via monthly no ads premium pass. I’m on level 42 and I’m just under the recommended 600k - I’ve been purchasing the legendary tesseracts when they go on sale but seems like at least a month before I can rank it up. Should I be saving gems for next dice game and focus on another gun or is this something I can keep building and using if it’s ranked up? Thoughts and experiences?
