Narrows water temp now

Heading to Zion this weekend and planning on hiking the narrows ; however I saw people hiking in the water with shorts and boots last week, hows the water now?
Planning on hiking with shorts, 3mm neoprene socks and either hiking boots or athletic shoes.
Worst case scenario, I know zion outfitters rents some waterproof pants package, however I wouldn't need the whole package, only the pants. Is this something they do?
