Until I moved into my grandparents' house full-time in 2003-ish, getting to watch Disney Channel was a treat because at my original house, it was still a premium channel (Time Warner Cable). Occasionally while staying the night at their place, I would wake up in the early morning hours with the TV still going. I seem to recall at least one time that I did, Disney Channel must had been left on. This would had been somewhat just before the channel rebrand in 2002. What I was seeing just seemed so strange, to the point that later in life, I felt like this memory of what I saw was some fever dream, as nothing would churn up when I would search the Web to confirm anything, or that I was confusing some elements for another thing. Upon seeing the TV screen was these corny black-and-white live action-type shows running, with what I wanna say was some characters wearing Mickey Mouse-shaped ears. The volume was muted, leaving me with no context and making things a little unsettling for me. I think I tried to flip the channels but nothing but static came through nearby. Later that night this one CGI intro popped up that seemed a little dark, but colorful and inviting, like eye candy galore. It was like going through a linear path like an roller coaster in some dusk setting. It wasn't until recently that I was able to pin-point what I remembered and it looks like it was Vault Disney, which was an adult-centered programming block during midnights on the channel which had reruns of classic Disney programming. As to when this unusual memory happened, I was probably like 4 or maybe 3. Anyone here with memories of old-school Disney Channel?
