I ran into a small hiccup when following the Pandoc and LaTeX Guide.pdf that was bundled with the software for a Debian based Linux instruction. After I installed texlive-base, texlive-xetex, and pandoc, I encountered the error below. I can gather that I'm missing the Times New Roman font.

I downloaded the Times New Roman font from https://freefontsfamily.com/times-new-roman-font-free/ and installed it in a folder in my home directory called ./fonts/Times New Roman. I tried to export as PDF again and came across a new error complaining about Arial, but it doesn't look like the previous error. Any suggestions?
