I've found keeping my boxes separated by project has been more helpful than having an overarching notecard/ZK system. While I still have a general box for my reference notes, I found it more helpful to work in specific projects and label everything under that

For example, I'm currently working on a project for my research methods course, so every idea, thought, concept, etc., I have/find gets filed under "PSYC 510 Project". This also simplifies the process because I don't worry about linking

Interested in hearing from others who have a similar approach
