How can I tighten the elastic band on my boxer briefs?

Boxers are perfectly fine other than they are stretched out from my weight fluctuation last year.
I don’t want to throw them away as they are perfectly good.
Is there anyway to re-tighten the elastic band to hold them to my waist without falling?
