Kinda Sad About the G16
Post Body

While Iā€™m happy about some of the much needed improvements such as 16:10, Advanced Optimus, HDMI 2.1, etc., Asus basically just gave us a light refresh of the M16 and called it a ā€œG16ā€. Looking at it in comparison to the rest of their 2023 lineup, it makes you wonder why it even exists anymore.

One of the biggest selling points of the Zephyrus G series has always been efficiency and battery life being an AMD laptop. Going Intel you can expect about half the battery life of the 2022 models or worse.

They also stuck with only up to a 4070 at similar power limits to years prior while smaller laptops like the G14 are getting configurations up to a 4090.

That being said, the other 2023 lineups look awesome. The 2023 M16 is now by far the most improved and favorable between the two.
