So I originally started Zep back in March. Had great success on my first month, on the 2.5. My doctor called in the 5 so I could titrate up. Aaaand I waited six weeks, and still couldnāt get it filled due to supply issues. So my doctor switched me to Wegovy. I hated it. The side effects were awful, and it didnāt do anything to suppress appetite and didnāt really help me lose any weight. So I stopped taking it after about six weeks because it just wasnāt worth it. Last week I saw my doctor again and she told me supply for Zep was more stable now, so I could switch back. Hallelujah! My insurance only allows 1 fill of the .5 doses per year since theyāre transition doses, so I had to jump straight to 5 (and itās been at least a month since I quite Wegovy).
I did my first dose of 5 yesterday. And man the side effects have hit today. I havenāt gotten much farther than bed or the toilet. But, Iām happy to be back on something I know works. And Iāll adjust to the side effects just like I did the first time on Zep.
So hereās to third try being the charm!
