I'm looking for advice from those who are in later stages in life on how I , as a young woman in university, can invest in my future , especially right now that I am in university. Specifically I am looking for things that can help me be more financially secure. I come from a stable home ( so grateful to my parents ) and I also have a bursary so I have spare money each month which I'm trying to spend wisely. I'm not a business type of person so that one is out ( I also don't have the time with my courses , and numerous extracurriculars). I had been thinking about bonds but the new policy where the coupon rate is the same value as what you get at the end makes it make less sense. Buying shares is also something I considered but I believe that needs a broker , who also needs to be paid , and with my small money can à broker even agree...I also feel that money kept in the bank is just depreciating, unless you keep in dollars but those accounts have high maintenance fees. I also considered starting to slowly buy household appliances and the like in preparation for when I move , not sure if it is a good idea though... apart from that I don't know what to do and I'd hate to look back with regrets. I've already started to learn how to invest my time wisely but I'm a bit stuck when it comes to money.
