I got some SHP9500's and they're honestly just too fucking loud on my computer, I have to have my volume mixer set to like 10 for it to feel normal, which doesn't give me much wiggle room to adjust programs since I'm stuck on a 1-10 scale. I need some sort of DAC/amp combo that lets me adjust the volume independently from windows 10. I've never bought a DAC/amp before so I'm really out of the loop with this type of hardware, but the cheapish ones I've seen (basically the small usb ones) from what I can gather their volume control is just a shortcut to control windows volume.
