I unplugged my SMSL SP200 while it was on, could I have damaged it?

I took the end of the cable going into it and unplugged it from the amp while it was on by mistake. Whenever the amp turns on or off it makes a very noticeable pop sound, to me it seems louder than before. The amp stills outputs sound, but it seems a little muddy at times. I could be wrong, but could I have damaged it?
