Headsculpt workflow question

Hi, Iām making my first complete headsculpt project, and I have a question about the workflow, so I want to make the sculpt on Zbrush then pass it to Maya to try xgen and finally substance painter to texture it.
So I want to know even tho Iām not rigging the head, after passing the Sculpt to Maya do I need to retopologize ?? And if yes, how can I maintain detail after retopo?
Also I would like to know good workflows that you could recommend, thank you.
