Hello :) I am a collector of Yugoslavian physical albums, on LP records and cassettes (I’m 20 years old). During my free time, I work on preserving recordings released by the Diskoton label, as the master tapes are seemingly unavailable.
My absolute favorite singer is the great Halid Bešlić.. :) My father introduced me to his music when I was little, and I’ve loved him since then. I think that he is very special, and stands out from other singers of his era due to the love that can be felt in his music. He brought people together with his songs. My question is, what memories do people who lived in Yugoslavia during the 1980s have of Halid? I’d love to hear firsthand stories or moments that come to mind..
