I've been heavily into the game for many years, on and off with hiatuses. Though as time goes on and the card pool/complexity of the game increases, it seems to be getting harder to get back into it each time. I played Gouki and Sky Striker competitively around 2018-2019. I think I might have burned myself out playing too hard for the wins. I think I won't be entering the competitive scene again, it's too exhausting. I just want to chill and let yugioh be a creative outlet for me like it used to be. I try making decks but it tends to just not work and I end up giving up. Any recommendations for fun decks in 2021?
I end up being forced to play competitively on DB bc the automatic pool is the fastest way to get right into a game (I only play online). YGOPro is also no longer working (there's the new Omega platform but it's way too maximalistic and I hate the overstimulation). It's hard to make a deck and just get into a couple of rapid-fire games like I want to. Not to mention I really enjoy the OCG side of things as an alternative sometimes but it's even harder to play that.
I find alternate formats like Goat etc and even things like the new Progression Series Cimooo made interesting but, again, hard to set up and get going.
At the same time I don't want to be splurging too much time into the game bc I have time constraints, but I think spending an hour or two here and there playing yugioh would be cool if I could get it to work.
Any and all advice would be appreciated.
