Hello all, Looking to get back into this game. Used to play with a strange hybrid of the old Rise of the dragon lords and that old red eyes darkness dragon deck with a light and darkness dragon thrown in for kicks. I stopped playing before 5D's came out. I can see much has changed during the time I was gone. The learning curve is almost as steep as when I first started lol. So my question is with all of the new meta, does anyone have a good stompy dragon deck up their sleeve with a tricky burn contingency? I'm not sure with the new meta how fast games actually are now, but i used to get pretty annoyed by repeated field nukes or monster steals. I usually roll 3 decoy dragons as my staple small guy to get the ball rolling. Other effect monsters that are good at deck search to look for these would definitely help. A few other cards I used to use include ancient rules (easy spell for a high level normal monster summon. I used this to get Red Eyes out fast so I could tribute for darkness immediately), traps like secret barrel for direct LP burns are useful and I always kept those handy. I hope to get back to playing again soon in some capacity. I gotta learn all the new rules first though. 0.o after that, I have to repurchase some cards. as my collection is nonexistent at the moment lol...
