Question regarding mirror force launcher.

So, i was playing a game in master duel with a friend and he popped my graydle eagle and mirrorforce launcher with monster effects. Both cards gave the option to proc their graveyard effects so I started with graydle eagle expecting to chain mfl off the back of it.
The game then auto resolved graydle and never gave any further prompt for mfl.
Naturally this left quite the impression on me and I wondered if any of you helpful people could explain to me why it wouldn’t proc after the fact
