Currently on ep 103, he had his shortcomings, but at least his hunch about Kurama was true. Yomi just really wanted to replace him.
GOSH, I've been thinking a lot about this whole debacle lately, and i really think Yomi was a lot more personally driven than he was letting on, maybe even to himself. It feels like he did everything out of spite, and once he exceeded and proved himself to the idol who left him for dead, he realized he cared way more about himself (and his son) than anything else. Shachi was spot on in his suspicions, but Yomi just wasn't the kind of king he thought he was and he was barking up the wrong tree. Man what an interesting arc 😭♥️♥️
