I've been a Google Music user for a long time but don't subscribe to any streaming music services, Google or otherwise. I prefer to buy digital albums, mostly from Amazon or Bandcamp, save them to my PC, then use Google Music Manager to upload them to my Google Music account. I would use Google Music Player on my Android phone for driving music. I also use Last.FM for scrobbling, mostly for my own enjoyment/looking at stats/trends/how music tastes have changed over the years. I don't really use the web player, nor use playlists. I'm kind of old school and prefer to listen to an album straight through.
I'm trying to figure out this new world that is Youtube Music since Google Music Manager is no longer and how I can [hopefully] continue the same work flow or similar. I just started the transfer process. 80,000 something files, downloaded the app to my phone, and started exploring the new website.
Questions:
- How do I/how can I upload purchased music to Youtube Music, preferably using my PC?
- How do I download certain albums to my phone, as I don't keep my complete library on my phone? I often do not have cell service or WiFi due to rural areas that I'm in. Plus my cell data plan is fairly limited at 6GB.
- Will Last.fm app on my Android continue to scrobble when using Youtube Music? (I'll ask them also as I realize this is not 100% on YoutubeMusic)
Thanks in advance.
