Being the last season of young sheldon an we know George passes away this is my theory. George passes away from a heart attack thr family is grieving except sheldon. The family tries to console sheldon but he wants nothing to do with mourning. As a few weeks go by sheldon finds something of his dads that he shared with sheldon. As he starts to cry in a close up we flash forward to older sheldon the same camera shot with his mom day Shelly we need to catch the plane to California for your new job.
