Yeti Hopper 12 cold to touch

I recently bought a Hopper 12. I use it for my lunch. I have what I am going to eat, a few odds and ends, a can seltzer water, and possibly a 32oz Gatorade. I use 4 thin ice packs similar to what Yeti sales but reasonably priced.
I noticed that the outside of the cooler is cold to the touch. Is this normal? I am currently working indoors in an air conditioned space but I won't always be.
It does keep my food and drinks cold and I like the size of it.
