Hi all, Hacker here!
With the Season 5 premier just a mere 10 weeks away, we'd like to revisit some rules and how we'll be enforcing throughout the next season.
We'd like to begin by talking to you about 'Discussion Etiquette'... Yes, again. I know, I know... Everyone's least favorite topic, but it's the main thing that the mod team receives feedback on, and the main reason why we see people leave this sub.
We understand that we can't totally prevent negativity. It's just not possible, and frankly we shouldn't. People who are upset about the show should be able to express that they're upset about the show.
That being said, people should be able to make posts without being inundated with negativity, if they so choose. You should be able to feel safe asking for clarification on something you may have missed, or even just having some general discussions about plot lines, characters, or costuming. Keep that negativity out!
This leads to these two announcements, which coincide with the Rule 2 changes.
Rule 2 changes:
Current phrasing:
"Discussion Etiquette"
Be positive. This is a community for fans. If you're only able to contribute what you do not like about the show, then this is not a community for you.
Frequent comments or discussions with a negative perspective may be removed. Posts such as "I hate [character]" or "[character] is awful/bad" are no longer permitted. This applies to characters, actors, etc. These posts will be removed and may result in a ban.
No arguing or trolling. Constructive debating is allowed.
New phrasing (draft form, subject to change):
"Positive Vibes Only Threads"
Any thread with the '🌟 Positive Vibes Only 🌟' flair is exactly that! Positive vibes only. More info provided by AutoModerator at the top of each of these threads.

Change #1:
We're creating a 'Positive Vibes Only' flair! If you create a post and add the 'Positive Vibes Only' flair, everyone must remain civil and refrain from any sort of negativity. Any negativity will be dealt with swiftly, resulting in temporary or even permanent bans. We're really not kidding about this, you've been warned!
Change #2:
When the show comes back on air in a couple of months, we will be having two separate post-episode discussion threads. One will be marked for 'Positive Vibes Only' and can be used to discuss the show without worrying about the negativity.
As always, please send us a modmail if you have any questions or concerns.
