Obviously we have been able to discern the Maenads as a heavy influence for the Yellowjackets whenever they divulge in the wilderness’ acts. As a basis, it’s said the Maenads went into the mountains to worship Dionysus, conveniently the girls are trapped and surrounded by mountains. We see it first in Doomcoming, I think this is where we see the the wilderness really enter the girls, they consume alcohol and then psychedelics, very much so like how the Maenads would enter a state of heavy intoxication to not only invoke Dionysus but to have him posses them. We see it in the Snackie scene where they delude themselves to not confront eating her, the visuals of Bacchanalia. Something the Maenads performed was called sparagmos, in which they hunt down an animal or human, tearing it apart alive and then consuming its flesh, we could see this through Javi’s hunt after Travis eats his heart, or see a more literal chase like this in season three.
