(Not a theory really, just some jumbled thoughts. Spoilers for episode 10 and The Shining too I guess.)
Jackie and Jack from the Shining both die the same way: freezing to death. The way that Jackie returned to the cabin and was welcomed by Laura Lee and the Attic Guy kind of reminded me how Jack Torrence is welcomed by the former caretakers and ghosts of the Overlook Hotel. We’ve seen nods to Evil Dead and other horror movies in earlier episodes. Think the showrunners are paying homage to Stanley Kubrick here?
