I feel like the girls are going to go apeshit with their reaction to the cabin burning. Maybe even thinking it was the wilderness being unsatisfied. This leads me to believe that in the chaos when Ben fleas, they may think he just died out there. Misty could even tell them all that he was gonna jump. And no one really seemed to care much about Crystal. So if they do come across him, it will be in his man cave, and they will flip out and he may slip up saying “that’s why I burnt it down” or something and this causes them to eat him next. Which means they take up shelter in the cave. My idea of this takes over like a span of days maybe a week? With them discovering Ben.
