How was Adam connected?

The writers said that Adam Martin had an “unknown connection” to one of the Yellowjackets. Obviously his affair with Shauna is present and known. So this can’t be the Yellowjacket he had a connection to. However in season two when Misty tries to lie about why she downvotes Walters posts about Adam, she says it’s because of Adams mom is a friend of hers whose bereaved. Later he digs and finds Adam’s mom is dead. Maybe Adams mom was Mrs.Martínez, either shortening her name or getting remarried? Edit:the writers confirmed the connection has been proven and properly ended story wise
