Have you guys read the plan or are you just pessimistic because it makes you feel mature? The plan will not act as a spoiler for Biden for many different reasons that are clearly laid out in the plan, but thatās besides the point. Iām seeing so much resentment of this plan in here just because it would likely not win. What kind of mentality is this. Maybe itās because I didnāt live in the US for a good chunk of my life, but voting for a president cause heās popular is not what we should be aiming for. Weāre pretending as if society and politics has always been stable and itās silly to think otherwise. Are we going to normalize that we have two deeply corrupted and ineffective parties that we have to choose between just because a bunch of lobbyists and powerful special interests want it this way forever? During the primary, the DNC and many delegates openly floated around the idea that they would override the peopleās elected democratic nominee in the convention if they didnāt like it. Is that just fine to you cause itās a ārealisticā outcome or whatever the fuck you tell yourself? Why not push for your vision as hard as you can? Unity2020 just came out of the womb, why do you want to kill it before even giving it a chance?
If we canāt get it on the ballot or if we donāt have high enough polling numbers nearing the general election, then we can pat ourselves on the back and go back to voting for Joe Biden. If not, then America can truly start being united again and genuinely get shit done. Please share your thoughts Iām very interested in why many of you guys are thinking this way.
