I feel like U.B.I is the only way things will work, not just for me, but for so many of the people around us. And U.B.I will be a thing, but the Coronavirus Economic Relief Plan doesn't exactly include me. "Individual taxpayers who made less than $75,000 in adjusted gross income in 2018 would receive a check for between $600 and $1,200, with the highest earners getting the maximum payment," therefore I would not be able to afford everything with only around $600 a month.
I made nothing this year as I'm unemployed because of schooling. But I needed to work this Spring, but now I can't with every place being closed now and this Relief Package doesn't help me. It reminds me how Andrew Yang said U.B.I could help stop so much crime because of those people who are falling through the cracks in society. I feel like I'm part of the population who is falling through the cracks, is crime my only option at this moment to maintain an income? I can barely take myself seriously when I have to ask myself that.
