So I understand that in e.g Canary islands or the Azores are part of both Schengen and Eurozone and we EU citizens are free to travel there without restrictions and pay with Euro plus all other benefits of freedom of movement etc.
But what about islands like Mayotte? You can pay with euros but can someone with EU citizenship settle there? What is the difference except absence of Schengen?
What about Sint Maarten and Saint Martin? Is it true that you need a passport (and it gets stamped) if you plan to go from french to dutch part of the island?
Why donβt New Caledonia and Saba use Euro?
Also do we enjoy all rights as EU citizens there?
