What are pros and cons of Euro currency?

I am from Croatia and we are introducing Euro from 1st January 2023.

Some people in Croatia are sceptic and their most used argument is that prices will go up while salaries will remain the same (even if there was no inflation). They heard stories from other countries that adopted euro (Mostly from Germany, Austria and Slovenia) where all prices were rounded up and that caused 30% price increase or even more.

Is this true? What are real advantages and disadvantages of Euro? Except the fact that you don’t need to change money when your travel.
