Film as a healing mechanism

Post Body

2018 was the most difficult year of my life for a number of reasons that I won't get in to. Despite that, I feel like movies such as Roma (came out in perfect time) and Pan's Labyrinth helped me endure and heal. In fact to this day they are my favorite movies. Has anyone else had a similar experience where film has acted as a coping mechanism? If so which ones?
