Files lost even without a reboot (MIUI 11)

Help! While I was scrolling through Instagram..I found that the gallery shows empty...so I checked file manager and ..there was nothing. Except system folders.. I don't know how it happened..is it maybe because I use a global rom? I had put pixel experience on my Redmi note 4 then reverted back and now the bootloader is locked..also I did that a year ago..Any fixes ? It has study material and all
