Can't update from MIUI 10 9.6.27 without losing my data?

It seems I am stuck on MIUI 10 version 9.6.27 on my Redmi 4X (Android 7.1.2). The System Update (Settings System Update) hasn't found any updates since I installed this version, clicking "Check for updates" doesn't find anything either, I also tried the "Download latest package" option which downloaded and updated to the same version.

I then tried downloading the rom from here (https://c.mi.com/oc/miuidownload/detail?device=1700323) which is version 11.0.2.0, but that says that it will erase all my data, is there a way to update without erasing everything?

If not, how do I properly backup my data so everything is the same when I restore them?
