Hey, guys, I'm looking for some strategic-level advice because I think I've backed myself into a corner on the map in this save... or, more precisely, I've backed Advent into a corner.
My starting region (South Africa) has been liberated, and I'm infiltrating to finish the liberation chain for East Africa as well (current advent Strength= 6). I have havens in West Africa, both Oceania territories, Mexico, and the Western US.
The problem I'm dealing with is West Africa, specifically... its only region connections are East and South Africa, which will both be liberated once I load my save and play the HQ assault. And West Africa has a current advent Strength of 8, even before the 6 in East Africa "disperse"
Now, having 8-10 of ADVENT's 57 legions pinned in a corner would sound fantastic-- they physically CAN'T Leave without going through liberated territory right now due to how the map connections generated. But I'm worried about this proccing one of those "Advent tries to recapture liberated region" missions and cutting down my supplies available afterward.
Is there any way to bleed strength from this region without one of those terror missions happening? The only thing I can think of is trying to play the liberation chain out anyway-- but 8 legions is too much strength, and I can't see that ending well.
