When I turn my Series X off, I always press the Xbox button on the controller and click Turn Off Console. I have the power mode set to Instant-on. Sometimes, when I grab the controller and press the Xbox button, the console will turn on and it connects and there are no problems.
But sometimes, when I press the Xbox button on the controller, it just flashes and the console never comes up. I have to get up and manually press the Xbox button on the console. This turns the console on, but not from the sleep mode, but from a full start up, with the Xbox logo and the loud sound going throughout my whole surround sound system.
Anyone know why this is happening? It’s not all the time, maybe 50% of the time. I can’t find anything in the settings that would indicate the console turns off completely after some time. I never have shut downs during gameplay or regular use. The console is vertical and well ventilated, sitting on top of an entertainment center next to my center channel speaker. The only thing I can think of would be some sort of power issue. Because I have a big set up, I have it plugged into a power strip, which is plugged into the wall. I don’t have problems with anything else connected to the strip, including my PS5. Any help would be appreciated. The only posts I find on this is about the console shutting down during gameplay, so pretty different from my situation.
