Series 2 Controller Wont Turn On Xbox Series X

So, my controller is an elite series 2 that I have used without issue on the series X. I then connected the controller to a computer and now I am unable to power on the the xbox with the controller unless it is plugged in.... battery is good and charged; controller is updated. Any ideas? How do I power cycle the remote? Thanks!
