Hey everyone for various reasons I skipped over the "Xbox/One/PS4 generation and when COVID hit in 2020 ended up with Switch and decided to wait awhile from jumping back to the Xbox ecosystem,so I was "Xbox-less from 2013 to now. Here are some interesting things I noticed and mini reviews
1) Setup - No More plug and play. Easy to do for me being an IT guy,but I could see how it could annoy people. Took awhile but no major issues. My Switch was up and running in 10 mins.
2) First gaming impressions - COD Modern Warfare 3. 178GBs of updates later it's up and running, and so far that and Eldin Ring are blowing the Switch out of the water. Graphics don't make the game but they sure are pretty!
3) Game Pass - Wow what an incredible value! $16.00 a month for access to 100 titles and classic titles play on this too? Looking for that copy of Witcher 2 360 somewhere..... PS5 isn't backwards compatible for PS3 and PS2 from what I remember seeing and it's not even close,Xbox wins. Someone correct me if I am Wrong
4) Batteries for the controller???? Not sure about that move Microsoft, unless they have hidden stakes and investments with a Battery 🔋 manufacturer 😆.
5) Overall experience 8.8/10. I don't feel the need to buy a PS5 or gaming PC. I will definitely keep my Switch close by for Nintendo's first party games but many indie games I bought on Switch I see on Game Pass. The Value of the Game Pass is just incredible!!
It's great to be back!!! 😁
