[HELP] PS2 roms will not run at all

I’m using Retroarch on my Xbox Series X and as the title suggests, no PS2 roms work. I load to play a PS2 game and it just returns me to the Dev home. All other emulators work fine. I saw another post on here say it was the bios location being wrong but I have checked and it’s correct, to be sure I even pasted them into E/System, E/System/pcsx2 and E/System/pcsx2/bios. Still no luck. The bios location is pointing to E/system. Bios and games are on USB. Retro arch installed via remote access for Dev.
I’m closing to giving up with it but would be super gutted, can anyone help at all?
