So for some reason my Xbox no longer remembers where I left off using the media player with my external hdd. If i close the app and try and use the media player again, it will go back to the start of the hdd as if its resetting.

Where I used to be able to turn the xbox off and on, and it would carry on playing the media where it was when it was last closed.

I've tried everything

Turning on/off when xbox shuts down, turn off hdd.

Formatting the hdd and even changing the partition to suit xbox

Formatting the xbox and resetting all setting

I have also tried each usb port

Cleared all dust

Also tried another external hdd

Very very rarely it will play where I left off, suggesting that it can be done
